Welcome to Class 1

 

This term Class 1 have been very busy. 

 

In literacy class 1 have been learning how to write, listen to and follow instructions. The children had a chance to make their own jam sandwiches, step by step, whilst following instructions given by Miss Odgers.  

 

        

 

                       

Afterwards the children enjoyed a feast of yummy jammy sandwiches!!

 

Also this term class 1 have been looking at old and new toys in their history lessons. Puppets were one of their favourites and the children created some of their own,  stick, hand and sewn felt puppets.

 

In their science lessons toys were also used to help explain the forces 'push' and 'pull'.

An investigation to find out if placing objects in the path of a moving object would effect its journey, was carried out in the playground. This was achieved by pushing toy cars over and into different things, such as blocks of wood and paper.
