Welcome to Class 4!

 

Our first topic this year is the Roman invasion of Britain. We will be finding out about what life was like before the Romans invaded and how Britain changed once it became part of the Roman empire.

 

 

In literacy we will be reading some Roman stories about the founding of Rome and the battles with Boudicca. We will write desciptions of ancient Roman cities and write diary entries as if we were Roman slaves. We will also be doing some research using information texts about life in Roman Britain and creating our own information texts.

 

 

We will be making many things in art linked to our topic like designing our own roman coin and mosaic.

 

 

In history we will be finding out why the Romans were so successful in battle and how they defeated the Celts.
